SimpleSerial devices

EasyGraph can also integrate plain-text serial senders through the SimpleSerial device workflow. The dedicated device page covers parser setup, payload format, timeout behavior, and troubleshooting.

Virtual folders

Virtual folders can be used to structure recordings in larger recording sessions. Simply use drag-and-drop to move recordings into or out of folders. This helps you to organize recordings by project/test run or date. The following video shows the workflow with virtual folders:

Operations

• Create: Create new virtual folders using the New virtual folder button
• Rename: You can change the name of the folder via the context menu.
• Move: Move files into or out of folders to reorganize.
• Delete: Remove all files out of a folder to auto-destruct it.

Persistence and export/import behavior

• Virtual folder information nis stored as a parameter iside each recording/file element (FolderName).
• If it does not belong to a virtual folder, the recording is shown in the root of the recordings panel
• Because the folder information is stored with the file/recording element, it persists across restarts and reimports.
• Virtual folders do not mirror or control the real Windows folder structure.
